Command-line administration

Cortex can be provisioned without browser automation. Keep secrets in permission-restricted files, stop the service before destructive maintenance, and use JSON output in scripts.

cortex reset --auth --confirm "CORTEX AUTH"
cortex reset --all --confirm "CORTEX ALL"

reset --auth removes local accounts and sessions. reset --all resets Cortex application state but does not touch workspace repositories. Both retain timestamped backups. Omit --confirm for an interactive typed prompt.

Runtime settings remain explicit flags and environment variables, so configuration-management tools can generate a service invocation without editing browser state.
